Adult BJJ

Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) class is for anyone aged 13 and older.

Emphasis is placed on fitness, self-defense, and submission wrestling.

Fundamental Classes: Mon, Wed,  & Sunday, 7:00 – 9:00pm
These are classes for beginners, white belts, and anyone else working towards their blue belt (e.g.  green belts). Don’t be fooled by the name, these classes teach all aspects of jiu-jitsu: takedowns, escapes, sweeps, submissions, sport strategy, and self-defense.

Advanced Classes: Tue, Thu, & Sunday, 7:00 – 9:00pm
Advanced classes are designed for blue, purple and brown belts. Anyone is welcome to participate but may need to just watch if they don’t understand the fundamentals of the technique.

Tournament competitions are available in Edmonton throughout the year for students if they desire.

Students should wear a t-shirt and shorts (with drawstring) to their first class. Students are required to buy a club gi (uniform) within their first month of classes.
